Eric Sarpong Atuhene

Eric was born in Kumasi, Ghana in the early 1980's where he received all his basic school education. He later enrolled at The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he obtained his BA degree in Integrated Rural Arts and Industry.

His painting themes are greatly influenced by the indigenous Ghanaian and African outlook of life.He tries as much as possible to portray the indigenous concept of beauty in his human figures. These techniques often add a touch of grace and simplicity to the forms of his figures.

Eric's paintings are usually characteried by rich colours and textures wich tends to evoke emotions in the observer. Though he paints in all media, he has a particular bias towards acrylic and watercolour.
