Our work at Tempole has taken us far a field, to the shores of Ghana in West Africa.
We have expanded our business and now manufacture picture frame mouldings and canvas stretcher bars made to the highest standards.
We are currently manufacturing contemporary mouldings, squares and deep rebate profiles made from Obeche, one of the most popular and trusted timbers used in the industry. These mouldings are available as bare wood, black, white and in various wood tones.
With over 27 years in the picture framing business at Tempole we believe we can guarantee the finest quality demanded in the framing industry.
Minimum quantities apply; contact us for more information.
All timbers used in our products are sourced from sustainable and well managed forests and are kiln dried before processing.

PRESS RELEASE
Good News!
London picture framer, Michael Lawrence has qualified as a Guild Commended Framer, the professional qualification that distinguishes skilled framers from semi-skilled and provides consumers with a recognised way to find excellent craftmanship and service. Only 985 framers have achieved this qualification, so London residents are lucky to have one at hand at Tempole Fine Art.
The Guild Commended Framers are awarded their qualification by the Fine Art Trade Guild, the international trade association for the industry. Framing skills and knowledge are examined rigorously by an independent Guild appointed tester.
If you think that all there is to framing a picture is joining four pieces of wood think again! An inadequate framing job can damage art work, sometimes irreversibly. Michael has demonstrated that he understands the importance of conservation framing, the use of appropriate materials to avoid future problems and also the range of framing options his customers may require. Unprofessional framing may allow unsightly stains to appear, or gradually cause artwork to go brown and the paper to weaken; eventually a picture may literally fall apart. These things can be avoided by choosing a qualified professional. Knowledge and technology are improving all the time and precious and valuable pieces should be checked by a professional framer who can take remidial action to protect works to be kept for future enjoyment. Michael lawrence GCF has proved himself able advise on the framing of unusual objects and memorobilia.
